Tomorrow is a big day in Europe and a major offensive on the part of the people is planned against the banks main assets: their deposits. Will it work. In theory, it could. But you must understand they can just limit access to funds and order more currency out of thin air, or, by the push of a button. If this occurred in money market funds, it definitely would work as these funds are tied to short-term high-value assets and liabilities like T-bills and CDs (which by the have to be the worst investment ever; yeah I'll tie up $500 for two years so I can gain a 1 percent return.) One MM run occurred in Sept. 15, 2008 in which $500 billion was withdrawn in a matter of hours. But we'll see.
This is my first post on this new blog. I will be updating and posting links to the old blogs, specifically, my collection of short stories. In other news, I heard Spedi (Heidi Montag and Spencer Bratt, er,Pratt) renewed their vows a couple weeks ago. I know there is a big push against gay marriage but since when are cyborgs who are part plastic allowed to marry? Maybe that was a little too far but Heidi used to be such a pretty woman and she didn't need to do that. I actually feel sorry for her and wish her the best.
